DETAILS
Apartment Finishes:
Kitchen: offered in choice of two colors: Dusk Scheme in dark colors & Dawn Scheme in light colors – I preferred the Dusk Scheme and thought it looked very rich and high end, the Dawn Scheme blended in with the wall and wasn’t very memorable; high-end appliances that seamlessly incorporated into counter and cabinets example would be the large paneled refrigerator, great breakfast bar that is just the perfect size.
Bathrooms: great as far as size and functionality, either large standing showers or deep soak tubs. Main bathrooms had continuous stone on the walls, secondary bathrooms had a small tiles which I am not a fan of.
Floors: wide plant wood floors throughout. The floor is very well laid with no noticeable flaws but nothing memorable.
In-Unit stackable washer and dryers in separate closets in the hallway space. Even the smaller units have this, which is a huge plus.
Three flaws that stand out
It’s a 15+ minute walk to the train station but I do believe the building offers a shuttle service during rush hours
I didn’t like the small tiles in the secondary bathrooms. They were not pleasing visually and will be difficult to keep super clean in the long run.
I didn’t like the lack of walk-in closets or storage closets.
Value:
Best price points for a downtown Manhattan building that’s in an upcoming area that has 4 other major developments already underway
Truly beautiful & welcoming apartments in a building with jaw dropping amenities. Well worth the 15 minute walk from train.
21 year tax abatement makes sure a huge price difference on a monthly basis which makes this either an affordable home to live in or a really smart investment property
I absolutely love how confident Extell is about their project and the future of the neighborhood! The fact that they will allow buyers to rent for a year AND put all that money towards the down payment before fully committing to a purchase is genius
